FIELD: metallurgy of copper-base alloys particular, refining of commercial copper alloys from gases and harmful impurities. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes blowing of melt with mixture of argon and nitrogen. Process of degassing of melts with mixture of argon and nitrogen in optimal ratio of 1: 0.3 is based on capability of bubbles of inert (argon) and neutral (nitrogen) gases to adsorb atomic hydrogen dissolved in metal and transfer harmful nonmetallic impurities to slag. EFFECT: higher technological plasticity and quality of ingots and quality of product yield due to realization of effect of refining and degassing. 2 tbl
