FIELD: vacuum metallurgy, particular, production of large-sized ingots, including flat ingots from alloys based on titanium, nickel, high-melting metals and steels. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes electric arc melting of several consumable electrodes, supply of melt to through mold with uniform distribution of melt over the entire area of mold simultaneously with melting of electrodes. In so doing, carried out additionally are heating and maintaining of periphery sections of ingot surface in molten state. Melting of consumable electrode is effected in crucibles, and supply of melt into mold is carried out by pouring from crucibles. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
