FIELD: electric drives for tape-feed mechanisms of audio recorders. SUBSTANCE: device has electromechanical converter which has permanent magnet inductance coil 2 and armature winding, which sections are connected to output of frequency converter which is designed as voltage inverter. In addition device has control unit, comparators, integrating circuits. Outputs of comparators generate signals of half-wave duration which are shifted with respect to one another by 120 degrees. These signals effect control unit which outputs control signals which switch gates of anode and cathode groups of frequency converter which provide periodic connection of sections of armature winding to power supply. This results in possibility of synchronous start of electric motor. In rotation mode electromotive force which is induced in armature sections accelerates moment of switching gates of frequency converter so that motor is forced into position commutation mode. In control mode, supply of current control signal to additional input of frequency converter provides symmetric recharge of integrating circuits and symmetric operations of comparators according to electromotive force rotation signals. EFFECT: decreased ripple of electromagnetic momentum, decreased detonation in controlled rotation mode, increased functional capabilities. 7 dwg
