FIELD: railway transport; diesel locomotive automatic control systems; automatic control of DC transmission. SUBSTANCE: device has master controller, DC traction generator with control unit, reverser and switching devices of traction motor installed in traction circuit in rheostatic braking current provided with brake resistor and in traction motor field winding circuit. Switching devices are built around semiconductors one of which is thyristor and two others are diodes. Device ensures against dynamic loads and shocks in switching devices. EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability of operation owing to realization of braking by changing polarity of traction generator supply voltage. 1 dwg
