FIELD: water supply. SUBSTANCE: plant for producing drinking water from sea and salt waters containing filter unit, accumulation tank with acid, and reverse- osmosis apparatus is additionally provided with: ion-exchange column unit wherein columns are filled with low-acidic cationite in salt form; electrodialyzer with bipolar cation- and anion-exchange membranes forming salt, acid, alkali, anode, and cathode chambers; electrodialyzer with cation- and anion-exchange membranes forming concentration, desalting, anode, and cathode chambers; drinking water collection container; and also salt, acid, and alkali paths and desalting path. Alkali cells of electrodialyzer with bipolar membranes are consecutively connected with their own cathode chamber, cathode chamber of electrodialyzer with cation- and anion-exchange membranes, with drinking water collection container, and with one of ion-exchange columns in regeneration stage. Acid cells of electrodialyzer with bipolar membranes form closed acid circuit which communicates with accumulation tank and with one of ion-exchange columns in regeneration stage.
