METHOD OF ELECTROCHEMICAL PRODUCTION FROM SALT SOLUTIONS OF SOLID SLIGHTLY SOLUBLE ACIDS, BASES AND CALCIUM CARBONATE WHICH SETTLE-OUT AT SHIFT OF SOLUTION PH Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2261753 C2

FIELD: methods of electrochemical production of solid slightly soluble agents; electrodialysis with bipolar membranes.

SUBSTANCE: salt solutions are processed in multi-chamber electrodialyzer provided with bipolar membranes; its elementary link is additionally provided with one or two mono-polar membranes of similar sign of charge forming alkaline chambers, acid chambers and settling chambers. Initial salt solution is fed to settling chambers to which solution of salt formed by strong acid and alkaline is fed preliminarily. Process is conducted at periodic fluctuation of pressure in settling, acid and alkaline chambers. Compound reducing the static and dynamic stress of sediment shift is added to settling chambers; settling chambers are also provided with detachable units made from inert materials for accumulation and removal of solid slightly soluble sediments.

EFFECT: increased service life of ion exchange membranes; possibility of removal of sediments without disassembly of electrodialysis apparatus.
