FIELD: gas purification. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treating gas in power engineering and metallurgy. Method includes tangential introduction of gas to be treated into cyclone with upper axial gas discharge pipe and removal of dust by agency of centrifugal force arising from progressive motion of rotating stream from above downward and then, with a turn made, upward. Into the turn zone, auxiliary wetted compressed gas is fed divided into two streams in the form of countercurrent jets along cyclone axis. Ratio of gas intakes for the two jets is 1:(1-5). EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of gas purification process due to improved interaction of water-air stream with gas being treated. 1 dwg
