FIELD: sulfur production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes of sulfur production from acid gases and is aimed at reducing sulfur loss and therefore at increasing its recovery using additional ultramicroporous sulfur vapor adsorbent placed the last in gas travel direction. As sulfur vapor adsorbent, activated carbon is utilized, its bed volume to basic catalyst bed ratio being (0.2-0.3):1. Besides, as adsorbent, acid-resistant molecular sieve with silica to alumina weight ratio 6:1 is utilized with following proportion of bed volumes in reactor: basic bed of catalyst/molecular sieve = 1.0:(0.2- 0.3).
