FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: lead regions are disposed between housing and side lining and may be made inclined from 3 to 45 deg. from vertical plane toward outer side. Leads are assembled into sections which come out of bottom unit and are disposed in socle such as the most remote branch is laid across the center of section and all remaining ones on both sides from it and in the same plane. Leads are made as broad strips, summary width of which both in socle part and in inclined regions is equal to length of corresponding side of electrolyzer bottom. EFFECT: simplified design and improved reliability in operation. 6 cl, 2 dwg 9p
