FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely, equipment for processing aluminium and its alloys, particularly, lining of resistor-type reverberating furnaces. SUBSTANCE: reverberating furnace hearth lining is provided with additional sublayer whose width is equal to 0.1-0.3 of hearth width and whose thickness is equal to 0.02-0.1 of thickness of refractory layer. Said sublayer is arranged along periphery of hearth between intermediate burden and heat insulation layer and it is made of boron anhydride or boric acid on conversion to boron anhydride.
