FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: method is based on sorption of ruthenium compounds (states of oxidation: +3, +4, +6, +8) from solutions with HCl concentration 1-3 mol/l, in dynamic mode, by silica gel modified with benzoylthiourea. Quantity of ruthenium is determined by way of measuring diffusion reflection of sorbent samples with coordination compounds formed on its surface. EFFECT: improved accuracy. 1 tbl
