FIELD: medicine; physiotherapy; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus functions upon principle of subjecting patient to effect of magnetic field pulses, shape of which is close to that of asymmetrical saw-tooth pulses. By suitably selecting polarity and irradiation area, such pulses are capable, in particular, to induce electromotive force (e.m.f.) in nerve fibres which corresponds to e.m.f. value normally present in intact nerves, thereby reinforcing excitability and conduction function. Similarly to prior-art devices, proposed apparatus comprises casing accommodating permanent magnet rigidly attached to framework, and control unit. Inventive novelty of proposed apparatus resides in fact that casing accommodated coaxially arranged induction coils having core that is capable of axially travelling. Core is rigidly attached to pusher rod articulately connected with framework. Working end of casing is bevelled at angle of less than 20 deg. Framework with magnet attached to it are slidable along casing axis. Turned-away axial end of casing accommodates, rigidly attached to it, spring, while induction coils are electrically connected with control unit. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of treatment of visual tract; shorter treatment time. 2 dwg
