FIELD: metallurgy, particular, technology of processes of continuous casting of castings and their subsequent rolling; applicable for manufacture of long rolled products from copper and its alloys with required properties for manufacture of joinless copper, low alloyed and bronze contact wires. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes bringing the melt to its required composition by adding alloying elements in reduction atmosphere, modification of melt before its entering rotary mold, formation of continuously cast casting trapezoid in cross-section and its subsequent rolling. Melt is treated by long products based on powder sintered copper with use of mold with bandage diameter equalling, at least, 1.55 m and trapezium large-base-to-its height ratio is taken within 1.78-1.88, and casting from mold is removed with its temperature of 625-670 C. Prior to feeding the casting into roll mill, it is heated in induction heater, and after rolling in mill roughing stand, casting is cooled to temperature of recrystallization of rolled material. EFFECT: provision of high properties and their stability in produced rolled wires and exclusion of special heat treatment. 4 cl
