FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, production of long articles by continuous casting with rolling; applicable in production of continuous contact conductors from copper-base alloys. SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, continuous feed from copper-base alloy with magnesium contact of 0.04-0.34% or tin together with one or several elements with affinity for oxygen higher than that in tin in total amount of not in excess of 0.12% and produced at cooling rate in mold within 15 C/s is rolled into wire rod. Wire rod is finished with rolling temperature of not above 400 C. According to the second version, continuous feed from copper-base alloys with magnesium content of 0.4-0.25% and phosphorus or iron of 0.8-0.12% and phosphorus (content of phosphorus in this case corresponds to its stoichiometric ratio with magnesium or iron in their phosphides) is produced at cooling rate in mold more than 15 C/s and rolled into wire rod with deformation temperature corresponding to temperatures of alloys hardening. Rolling is finished with rolling temperature not above 400 C. Then wire rod is subjected to ageing at 500-525 C for 1.0-1.5 h. Finishing operating consists in formation of conductor shape with deformation degree of 56-60%. Method allows to produce conductors with conductivity of 85-95% of pure copper conductivity and with mechanical properties exceeding copper conductors by 1.5-2 times. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 ex
