FIELD: foundry; casting of screw propellers from copper-base alloys; applicable in ship building. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes making casting mold by single-blade wooden pattern, installation of gating system cores and central core, manufacture of top, reinforcing of mold by beams and anchor bolts, and casting with regulated rate by means of stopper of pouring basin. Upon completion of casting, metal is added into casting head. During cooling of casting, in 10-15 min after pouring, central core is unfastened and in 24 h for castings with mass up to 40 t, and in 48 h for castings with mass above 40 t, anchor bolts are unfastened and fastening devices limiting mold motion in casting cooling are removed.
