FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry production, in particular to foundry molds used in the manufacture of large-tonnage and thick-walled castings of cast iron with spheroidal graphite. Foundry mold of the container body for transportation and storage of spent nuclear fuel comprises an assembly pallet with a coaxially installed center pin and chill mold, a shell forming an inner wall of the body casting. Center rod is framed externally by a shell of ferritic steel, which is further a part of the body casting. Inside the center rod, a tube is installed coaxially to the shell, and the space between the shell and the pipe is filled with clipped wire. Refrigerator is placed on top of the end of the center rod.
EFFECT: invention provides improved quality of casting of a monolithic body by reducing the casting defects.
