FIELD: transport engineering; fuel system. SUBSTANCE: according to first design version, system of fuel tanks has main and additional fuel tanks with filler necks connected through overflow pipe in upper parts of tanks. End of overflow pipe fitted in additional tanks is located at tank bottom. main tank has fuel intake pipe to supply engine. Additional tank communicates with atmosphere. System has fuel fume outlet pipe connecting fuel tanks and passing through upper portions of tanks. End of fume outlet pipe getting into main tank is located in its upper space, and end of pipe getting into additional tank is located at its bottom. End of overflow pipe getting into main tank is arranged at bottom of tank. Check valve is installed in intake portion of overflow pipe of additional fuel tank. End of overflow pipe getting into main tank can be arranged in its upper space, and end getting into additional tank is arranged at bottom of tank. Two design versions of system are available.
