FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of alkaline metal chlorate, chlorineless sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Interaction is carried out by at least a single reaction stage in the presence of inert gas under the maintained pressure value 600-800 mm mercury column in reactor vessel, at 35-100 C, acidity is 4-14 N at the first reaction stage and at chlorate concentration 0.05 M up to saturation under condition of nonsignificant crystallization of alkaline metal sulfate. Then chlorine dioxide, oxygen, inert gas and the spent aqueous reaction medium were removed from reaction zone. At the second reaction stage acidity is maintained at the level 2-5 N.
