FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a continuous production of chlorine dioxide. The method includes the formation of chlorine dioxide in a water reaction medium in a reaction reservoir, in which subatmospheric pressure is supported. The supply of gaseous chlorine dioxide from the said reaction reservoir is realised into an absorption column for contact with a water flow with the formation of a water solution, which contains chlorine dioxide. After that, the said water solution, which contains chlorine dioxide, is supplied into a desorber, gas is blown through the said water chlorine dioxide water solution to extract from 10 to 100% of chlorine dioxide, supplied into the desorber, and to obtain a product - gaseous chlorine dioxide.

EFFECT: creation of an effective method of chlorine dioxide production realised under subatmospheric pressure.
