SUBSTANCE: present invention describes polystyrene foam and method of preparation thereof polystyrene foam is prepared by mixing polystyrene containing not more than 20 wt% foaming agent and not more than 1 wt % antistatic agent, foaming the resulting mixture at temperature higher than vitrification temperature of polystyrene and subsequently maintaining polystyrene foam at room temperature. After mixing operation, not more than 60 wt% foaming agent are partially removed by maintaining mixture at temperature lower than vitrification temperature of polystyrene.
