FIELD: refrigerating engineering; condenser or evaporator for refrigerating machine. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger includes hermetic shell 1 where coil 2 is arranged. Turns of this coil are formed by parallel rectilinear sections 3 lying in one plane. Sections 3 are interconnected by means of return bends 4. First and last rectilinear sections 3 of coil 2 are connected respectively to inlet branch pipe 5 and outlet branch pipe 6 in way of flow of medium. Coil 2 is arranged in shell 1 in such position that it tightly adjoins two opposite walls of housing 1 over entire length of rectilinear sections 3 and return bends 4 connecting them. Coil 2 is mounted in spaced relation to its other walls. Partitions 7 are mounted between rectilinear sections 3 of coil 2 in spaced relation to them; their side edges tightly adjoin walls of shell 1. Coil 2 and partition 7 located respectively in shell 1 form two coil passages for inter-tube space medium; each passage is brought in communication with inlet branch pipe 8 and outlet branch pipe 9 used for handling this medium.
