FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: watered crude oil is treated with demulsifier and settled under heating, heat carrier being fed under box overturned into upside-down position. As a result, crude oil heating through box walls and bottom surfaces is accompanied with convective heat transfer caused by heat-mass exchange between oil being heated and heat carrier.
