FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: brake shoe drive has power cylinder 3 with pull back spring 4 coupled with brake shoe through levers and hinge joints. Levers are made in form of scalene triangles 5 with hinge joints installed at their vertices. Joints installed at largest angle vertex are coupled with brake shoe, and those installed at smallest angle vertex, with rod and housing of cylinder. Hinge joints installed at third vertex of triangle are coupled with vehicle frame by means of telescopic rods 6. Maximum length of telescopic rods is A=B=C where B distance from axis of hinge joint 7 of telescopic rod suspended from vehicle to working surface of rails 8 and C - distance from axis of hinge joint 9 of brake shoe suspension to its working surface.
