FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic brake comprises magnetic circuit formed by two L-like cores with a gap between their frames. The core frames accommodate winding coil. Aforesaid cores are furnished with pole terminals furnished with chambers made from nonmagnetic material, for example high-pressure polystyrene. There are "n" capsules filled with ferromagnetic fluid and arranged one above the other in aforesaid chambers. Note here that "n" equal at least unity.

EFFECT: smoothness and efficiency of braking.
