FIELD: protection of various entities from atmospheric electricity. SUBSTANCE: lightning arrester has central vertical grounded rod and side lightning receiving antennas arranged symmetrically to rod, generator electrode, spark gaps, energy converter, and energy storages. Spark gap is placed between central grounded rod and generator electrode arranged coaxially to it; similar spark gaps are placed in series with side lightning-receiving antennas. Energy converter inputs are connected to generator electrode and to central grounded rod, its outputs are connected to inputs of energy storages which are connected to grounded rods and effective ends of respective lightning-receiving antennas.
