FIELD: transport engineering; steering mechanisms with built-in steering hydraulic boosters. SUBSTANCE: steering mechanism has housing accommodating piston with toothed rack engaging with gear sector. Piston is connected through ball-and-screw mechanism with screw shaft connected with working fluid spool-type distributor by means of torsion bar. Distributor has manual drive from steering wheel. Screw shaft has section enclosing distributor sleeve on part of its length. Roller thrust bearing is placed between end face of shaft section and housing. Thrust bearing is arranged in recess made in housing. Thrust roller bearing is arranged at opposite end of shaft. Steering mechanism with built-in hydraulic booster of proposed design is compact and has reliable support of shafts. EFFECT: improved reliability of operation. 8 cl, 2 dwg
