FIELD: microbiological industry, food production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protein biomass production. Method involves milling grain production waste (bran, low-quality flour), dilution with water and heating to 65-68 C at the rate 1.5 C/min in the presence of alkaline or alkaline-earth metal hypochloride (0.2-0.8%) and ammonium sulfate (0.1%).
