FIELD: melting mineral wool in gas cupolas. SUBSTANCE: method consists in heating the refractory checker and melting the charge by combustion products of natural gas. Layer of slag whose height is equal to 0.1-0.4 of cupola diameter is formed on cupola hearth and pressure of cupola gases in refractory checker is maintained at level of 0.8-0.9 of blast pressure. EFFECT: continuous jet of tapped melt. 1 tbl
