PLANT FOR ROASTING CEMENT CLINKER AND UTILIZATION OF COMBUSTIBLE WASTES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: utilization of solid combustible wastes in rotary furnaces for roasting loose materials; cement industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary furnace includes body with branch pipes inserted in its holes, shield ferrule secured at level of ends of branch pipes projecting from furnace, fixed hermetic casing with sluice gate and device for supply of solid combustible wastes. Innovation of invention consists in availability of additional hermetic casing with shield ferrule and branch pipes inserted in holes of furnace; this additional casing is connected with fire bar cooler by means of pipe line. Fire bar cooler is additionally provided with two adjustable and one cut-off doors. Second fixed hermetic casing provided with hot air supply branch pipes is mounted at boundary between calcination and exothermic reaction zones at distance equal to 0.6-0.8 of furnace length from its loading end. Waste supply branch pipes are mounted at distance equal to 0.5-0.6 of clear diameter of furnace from hot air supply branch pipes in direction of loading end of furnace. Walls of branch pipe have inner cavity with holes in ends of branch pipe introduced into furnace and projecting from it. End of branch pipe introduced into furnace has bevel cut at angle of 5 to 25 deg relative to longitudinal axis of furnace; high edge of cut is located in side which is nearest to unloading end of furnace. End of branch pipe introduced into furnace is provided with protective heat-resistant coat on outer surface with thickened portion along bevel cut. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 6 cl, 3 dwg
