FIELD: weight measuring technology. SUBSTANCE: the proposed method involves establishing some reference points with specified values of the scales readings. The reference points are established by loading the scales hopper with loose material. In each reference point the scales are loaded with reference weight and difference in readings is registered. The difference of readings for each two adjacent reference points is established to be equal to the mass value of the reference weight. For each reference point the value is calculated, which is equal to difference of load corresponding to the increase of reading by the mass of the reference weight. This calculation is done with the use of definite equation. Sum of these values is found and absolute value of difference between the obtained sum and the value of nominal mass of loose material loaded into flour track is determined for each reference point. The maximum of the obtained values of absolute difference is taken as the error of the scales. EFFECT: improved accuracy of scales.
