FIELD: various branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: loader is used to test scale by method of successive loading. Hopper scales include hopper 1 put on strain-gauge transducers uniformly arranged over circumference with radius R with center on axis of hopper, device measuring and indicating load acting on each strain-gauge transducer and total load on strain-gauge transducers by mass of material loaded into hopper, loader coming in the form of pneumatic cylinder 5 with gripper 6 interacting with clamp of standard weight 8. Standard weight 8 is so placed that its center of gravity is located in plane passing through point of contact of one of strain-gauge transducers with hopper and perpendicular to straight line passing through points of contact of two other strain-gauge transducers with hopper. Standard weight is placed with reference to strain-gauge transducer on another side of vertical plane passing through points of contact of two other strain-gauge transducers at distance of 0.75R as minimum from it. EFFECT: simplified usage thanks to substantial reduction of mass of standard weight, diminished labor input to manufacture of hopper scales. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
