FIELD: recording of foam rise height (foam rise profile) and continuous recording of temperature (temperature profile) during the whole expansion process, applicable in study of the kinetics of the process of expansion of various plastic materials, in particular, urethane foams. SUBSTANCE: foam rise profile is measured by the contactless photoelectric method consisting in conversion by an optical system of axial displacement of the luminous mark produced by a laser beam and bound up with the foam surface into lateral displacement of the image of this mark in the plane of a coordinate-sensitive photodetector.
