FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: method includes liquid-phase direct chlorination of ethylene in boiling dichloroethane and quantitative component analysis of process fractions in different process stages by NMR 13C technique. Unlike conventional gas-liquid chromatography procedure, method of invention allows reliably separating signals of E and Z isomers of 1,2-dichloroethane, tetrachloromethane, and benzene overlapping in chromatograms and also identifying unknown admixture components. EFFECT: increased accuracy of analysis and widened analytical range.
