FIELD: immobilizing radioactive wastes in glass-like materials. SUBSTANCE: pre-melted charge of salt component sodium nitrate mixed up with vitrifying agents is poured into working space of cold crucible with inductor already turned on, then melt temperature is raised to working temperature of vitrification. EFFECT: reduced time of starting melt production, improved quality of first portions of product obtained; eliminated danger of crucible case fracture. 2 cl
