FIELD: environmental control; vitrification of radioactive wastes, their inclusion in basalt, and melting of solid radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: device has cooled metal crucible assembled of metal tubes, cover, drain unit, and inductor placed around cooled metal crucible. Temperature gage is placed inside one of crucible metal tubes. High-frequency oscillator is connected to inductor; check input of computer-aided monitoring and control system is connected to temperature gage and its control output, to high-frequency oscillator. EFFECT: improved response to melt temperature variations which raises device reliability and safety in operation. 2 dwg
