FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has armature 1 which is designed as thin-wall tube which is made from magnetically soft material. Non-magnetic guiding axis which is located inside armature along its center has three pieces of which middle piece 2 is of greater diameter than extreme pieces 3. Extreme pieces 3 carry frames 4 which are made from pressed magnetic dielectric material. Conductors of excitation coils 5 are located inside said frames. Support sleeve 6 which slides over middle piece of axis 2 is made from non-magnetic material and is rigidly connected to tube armature 1. Fixation of armature in extreme positions is achieved by magnetic clamps which comprise magnetically soft washers 7 and ring permanent magnets 9. Rings 8, which are made from elastic porous material, and embracing magnets 9 provide braking before armature stops. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
