FIELD: preparation of isoprene rubber, more particularly petrochemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of polymerization of isoprene in isopentane solution in the presence of Ziegler-Natt catalyst synthesized from titanium tetrachloride and organoaluminium catalyst modified by ether, e.g. diphenyl oxide added in amount from 0.05 to 0.70 mole/mole of aluminium or titanium component and introduced into reaction zone in hydrocarbon solvent. Hydrocarbon includes paraffin and aromatic hydrocarbons or mixtures thereof. In this case, aluminium catalyst component is preferably introduced for synthesis of catalyst in paraffin or aromatic hydrocarbon, or in mixture thereof at weight ratio from 50:50 to 80:20, and titanium catalyst component is introduced for synthesis of catalyst in paraffin hydrocarbon, and prior to being added into reaction zone, catalyst is diluted with isopentane to concentration of 30-50 g/l.
