FIELD: metallurgical industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to beyond-furnace treatment of metal in ladle. Method implies mounting of vacuum-chamber above ladle with two pipe unions. One of pipe union is connected with pipeline for delivery of inert gas. Two pipe unions of vacuum-chamber are immersed in metal below its top level. Residual pressure is created in vacuum-chamber. Inert gas under pressure is delivered through pipeline into vacuum-chamber pipe union. Vacuum-chamber is installed above ladle with porous plug in its bottom. In process of circulation degassing, delivered through porous plug in ladle bottom is inert gas at flow rate equal to 0.15-0.30 of flow rate of inert gas delivered through pipeline into vacuum-chamber pipe union. Inert gas is delivered through porous plug in ladle bottom along axis of pipe union connected with pipeline for delivery of inert gas. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
