FIELD: tests of tanks and closed systems for loss of tightness with the use of liquid substances, specifically at atomic power stations when source of leak is difficult to find. SUBSTANCE: tracing radioactive indicator - tritiated water in injected in turn into technological systems and tanks. Indicator is inserted into tanks with the aid of tube with length equal to height of water column in tank and filled with solution of tritiated water. One end of tube is plugged. Open end is lowered to bottom of tank, plugger end is unplugged and tube is gradually lifted from tank. Into technological system tritiated water in injected by any known method. Increase of concentration of tritium in checked flow after each injection is used to evaluate loss of tightness of given technological system or tank. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability. 2 tbl
