FIELD: electronics, electrochemical, automobile, instrumentation and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to processes of manufacture of permanent magnets on basis of rare-earth metal alloys. Alloy of rare-earth metal with ferrum is placed into reactor where it is embrittled by hydrogen, pulverized and nitrided simultaneously. Later it is pressed and oriented in magnetic field. EFFECT: improved characteristics of magnets thanks to lack of contact with secondary medium during hydrogenation, pulverization and nitriding, increased selectivity of process of manufacture of nitrided powder of rare-earth metals. 2 cl
