FIELD: refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing practically porousless, specifically shaped refractory composite products and can be applied when developing composite materials with increased size stability, erosion-resistant electrical materials to be exploited in the open air, etc. Method consists in that, porous blank is molded from carbide-forming metal powder, subjected to heat treatment under atmosphere of gaseous hydrocarbon or mixture of hydrocarbons at temperature superior to their thermal decomposition temperature, and then impregnated with melt of at least one metal selected from the group including: Ag, Cu, Au, Ga, Ti, Ni, Fe, and Co. Products are made in the form of a two-phase system formed by continuous framework of refractory metal carbide having in its pores at least one metal or alloy based on at least one metal from the above group. Products are widely applicable owing to their good physico- chemical properties, in particular, at high temperatures including those above melting point of metal phase. Products are also characterized by high electric and heat conductivity, high heat capacity, and high strength and wear resistance. EFFECT: improved consumer's quality. 15 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 5 ex
