FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to electroerosion methods of strengthening and alloying current-conducting materials and can be used in applying coatings to working parts of machines and tools. According to method, treating of current-conducting materials is effected by electric charges. Brought to working electrode are ultrasonic oscillations and voltage from eroding pulse oscillator. Ultrasonic oscillations are applied in cycles with intervals between them. Relation between duration of treating cycle with generation of ultrasonic oscillations and without it are selected within interval from 0.5 to 20.0 depending on power capacity of charge and material of electrode. Eroding pulses are applied to electrode at periods of generating ultrasonic oscillations. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
