FIELD: deposition of wear- and corrosion-resistant coats on parts of machines and metal surfaces of various structures working under extreme conditions. SUBSTANCE: process includes machining of current-conducting surfaces of materials with electric discharges. Equivalent pulses of current with equal repetition frequencies fed from independent power supply sources are passed through several spark gaps formed by surface of part and corresponding number of rotating alloying electrodes arranged equidistantly along length of circumference. Pulses of electric current are fed to spark gaps phase-shifted relative to sequence of electrodes by same part of period of main interval of pulse repetition across each electrode. EFFECT: enhanced quality, continuity and uniformness of coat, increased productivity of process. 3 dwg
