FIELD: production of chemical fibers; may be used in production of thermoplastic fibers and nonwoven materials from substandard and secondary polymers. SUBSTANCE: method is characterized by the fact that melting is carried out in one device, bowl rotating at a speed of 900-1100 rpm by heating its walls to temperature of 470-510 K and supplying of raw material in the form of granules sizing within 10 mm at the rate of 0.2-0.3 g/s. Molten fiber is cooled at outlet of bowl by jet of water aerosil. Process is carried out in inert medium. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
