SUBSTANCE: gaseous active medium produced by known method is exposed to longitudinal atomic radiation falling, according to wavelength, to spontaneous radiation from laser levels; spectral density of translucent radiation obtained in the process is such that probability of forced transitions from laser levels is greater than probability of spontaneous transitions from these levels. EFFECT: reduced threshold values of laser level population due to reduced amplification band and increased radiation density within this band. 1 dwg
