FIELD: physics, photography.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to energy photometry and a photodetector for measuring energy parameters of vacuum ultraviolet radiation. The photodetector has a photometric unit placed in a vacuum container, a detection system unit placed outside the vacuum container and a vacuum current lead designed for electrical connection of the photodetector units. The sensor element of the photometric unit operates as a cavity colorimetric radiation detector. The absorbing load of the sensor element, which is in form of a closed cavity with a radiation input opening, is made of metal of high heat conductivity.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy, reduced dimensions, high noise-immunity and simple method of calibrating the photodetector.
