FIELD: railway and road transport; road crossing protection. SUBSTANCE: device consists of electric drive mounted on pedestal installed on base, cross bar and counterweight mounted on main shaft of electric drive. Cross bar with counterweight is a structure with center of mass brought outside relative to axis of rotation to create moment required for lowering the bar from vertical position. Fixing of cross bar in vertical and horizontal positions is provided by self-braking reduction gear and electromagnetic clutch of electric drive. EFFECT: improved operating reliability of automatic level crossing gate and safety of traffic. 2 dwg
