FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: spent sulfuric acid from production of sulfocationite KU-2-8 containing 0.5-1.5% organic impurities and dichloroethane is mixed with aluminium hydroxide-containing compound at 95-115 C. Organic impurities were crystallized as aluminium salt with aluminium sulfate and the evolved dichloroethane is recovered to production of sulfocationite. The obtained aluminium sulfate is used as coagulating agent for natural and sewage water treatment. EFFECT: improved method of processing. 1 tbl
