FIELD: metallurgy, namely, tapping wall of shaft furnace. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for tapping wall of shaft furnace by inserting pinch bar to non-completely solidified closing mass placed in tap and subsequently extracting said pinch bar includes mount on which car is placed with possibility of lengthwise motion, mechanism for driving said car, pinch bar and means for guiding said pinch bar. Means are in the form of guiding duct for pinch bar provided with elongated opening. Apparatus also includes member for securing means for guiding pinch bar to car in such a way that to provide coaxial position of guiding duct relative to tap axis at working position of mount. Car has pin nondetachably joined with it. Pin enters to guiding duct through lengthwise opening and engages with pinch bar for guiding it towards tap when car is fed.
