FIELD: electroplating, development of chrome plating electrolytes based on chromium anhydride. SUBSTANCE: proposed chrome plating electrolyte with concentration of chrome anhydride 100-150 g/l contains organic components, g/l: crystalline violet 1.0-1.5 and polymethylene-β-naphtaline-sulphanate of sodium 4•10-4-6•10-3. Proposed slightly concentrated chrome plating electrolyte enables rate of electric deposition of chrome to be increased, range of densities of current to produce quality glittering coats to be enlarged, coats with increased corrosion resistance and hardness to be produced and expenses on purification facilities to be diminished. EFFECT: enhanced functional efficiency of electrolyte. 1 tbl
